The Many Benefits Of Face And Neck Exercises
Not many people are familiar with the concept of face and neck exercises. Most people know about the benefits of exercising for your body, but they ignore the great benefits of keeping the tone of your face and neck muscles. Imperfections like wrinkles, sagging skin or under eye bags can be prevented or improved with some regular and quick workouts for your facial area.
Creams and moisturizers are good for fighting wrinkles, but you are only fighting the problem from the surface. To keep you face young and without sagging, you should work on its muscle tone. There are several parts to work on: From neck to forehead, and also the cheeks, lips and eyes area. If you want to look younger than your age, exercising these muscles will prevent you from getting a double chin and sagging neck (or improve them if you already have them) and also make you look skinnier (people tend to mistake a double or triple chin as an excess weight sign, when it's usually just a poor muscle tone problem).
Here is some useful advice for making your neck and throat look better: A very simple exercise is sitting upright and leaning your head back while looking at the ceiling, next you have to pretend to chew without your mouth closed. You must do this move about 20 times a day to start seeing great results soon.
Another beneficial and effective workout is lying on your back on your bed or a similar surface. Rest your head over the bed's border and slowly bring it up towards your chest for around 10 seconds. After this, relax, take a deep breath and put your head back down over the edge. If you do 5 or more repetitions a day, you will start to see an improvement in the definition and tone of your chin very soon.
To avoid getting lines around your lips, the first thing you have to do is quit smoking if you do. Another way to prevent getting these wrinkles is not exposing yourself to the sun and always using sunblock. If you stop smoking and do these facial and neck exercises, this will improve both your looks and your health at the same time.
So, for the lips, one of the easiest exercise is to sit upright with your head looking straight ahead. With your lips and teeth together, make a big smile and hold for 5 seconds. Then, as your relax, pucker up to a pointed kiss and hold that for 5 seconds. Repeat at least 10 times daily.
With a quick online search, you may also find a facial exerciser that's been developed specifically for helping you tone and exercise your face and neck. These are typically inexpensive (less than $30) and may help keep your more disciplined as there's an 'apparatus' to use. Some popular searches will yield products to fight sagging skin, jowl lines (creases below the cheeks, from the nose to the sides of the mouth), and the ever-dreaded double chin.
So, don't forget the face, neck exercises as you consider your daily workouts or movements. Since they can be done at your desk or while you're driving, they're much easier to stick to and you will see results in just a few short weeks. Additional exercises and movements are all over the Internet, so take a few minutes to read about and practice some simple moves that will have you looking and feeling better with little or no cost, and just a few minutes a day for obvious benefits.
