Acne Spot Treatments Are Best When They're Natural Containing Only Whole Organic Ingredients!

by Gerald Steinert

Most of the people with acne also have oily skin. The reason for this is that oily skin produces more sebum than other skin types which makes it naturally more prone to clogged pores and acne lesions.

The key to dealing with this problem is to establish a regular cleansing routine. While the more serious acne forms should be treated by a medical professional, the standard cases of acne that are usually mild in nature can best be treated by a skin care routine. Even more so than with an acne cream.

Learning How to Cleanse Oily Skin

Best to use a soapy cleanser. However let's discern the difference between a soapy cleanser and soap. Bar soap will dry out your skin. In fact, the drier your skin is the more likely it is to break or crack and let in acne bacteria.

A soapy, gel cleanser is ideal for your skin type and is even better if it contains acne fighting ingredients such as salicylic acid or retinol. Both of these ingredients can help stabilize the production of sebum, balance the rate of cell shedding, and keep debris from clogging the pores.

Despite most people thinking otherwise, you can try a natural acne remedy if you have oily skin. One of the best natural cleansers for oily skin is milk of magnesia. To use it, just rub it on your skin and rinse it off.

Toning and Exfoliating

A daily cleansing routine may require a toner. However, it might not be necessary if your cleanser is capable of removing makeup, residue and extra sebum. The one for sure thing you need to remember is that if you use a toner, make sure it is alcohol free.

Unlike toning, this is one step you shouldn't skip. Depending on how old you are and the condition your skin is in, you should exfoliate at least once a week. To exfoliate simply choose a scrub or use a product that contains salicylic acid.

A scrub is considered a mechanical exfoliant while salicylic acid is a chemical exfoliant. Both products are a good option, but the final choice will depend on your personal preferences. Of course, never forget to moisturize your skin even if you have oily skin!

Simply because you have oily skin, you shouldn't assume that it does not require a moisturizer. The problem with oily skin is an excess of oil, not moisture. With this in mind, look for a moisturizer that is oil free and apply it twice a day.
